The Saudi Green Initiative is nearly related to and reciprocal to Vision 2030. Launched in 2021, the action is a long- term sustainable action plan to combat climate change, reduce emigrations and increase the use of clean energy in the Kingdom.
The objectives of the Saudi Green Initiative:
Three overarching objects guide the Saudi Green Initiative’s work- reducing emigrations, greening Saudi, and guarding land and ocean
Reducing emigrations
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has committed to having 50 of its power generated by renewable coffers by 2030. Saudi Arabia takes a whole- of- society approach to produce change. Then are some of the enterprises that are in place to reduce emigrations which are:
* Reducing, reusing, recovering and removing CO2
* Investing in sustainable renewable energy
* getting the world’s leading patron of clean hydrogen

Greening Saudi SGI is taking a strategic approach to restoring natural verdure with a target of planting 10 billion trees. In 2022 alone around 18 million trees were planted, and 60,000 hectares of demoralized land were rehabilitated. This will help to restore vital ecological functions, improve air quality, reduce sandstorms, and much more. guarding land and ocean. Under this action, KSA has committed to guarding 30 terrestrial and marine areas by 2030. This objective points to promote discussion sweats, enhance biodiversity, and apply sustainable fishing practices.
What initiatives have been introduced with the Saudi Green initiative
Since its launch in 2021, over 77 enterprise have been actuated to progress towards the three targets mentioned over.
